EMFC in action over Memorial Day Weekend6/1/11

All of EMFC's teams participated in this years Needham Memorial Day Tournament and MPS College Showcase.  Three teams, the U18 Boys and both U17 Boys and Girls teams advanced to play in Monday's playoffs.  The U17 Boys came up short in the semi-finals, falling 2-1 to Rams FC.  The U17 Girls advanced to the finals thanks to a 2-1 win over Soccer Domain Academy, but found themselves on the reverse end of the same score in a matchup against Middlesex Phantoms.  The weekend would end on a positive note, however, as EMFC's U18 Boys brought home a championship in their final game with the club.  The boys were awarded a spot in the final when Seacoast United did not make their Semifinal matchup, but it was a result backed up as the boys would defeat Waltham 2-1 in the Final.

2011 Bay State Summer Games

Tryouts for the Southeast team for the 2011 Bay State Summer Games were held over the past couple weeks, and this year;s Southeast team roster is once again a talent-laden one.  Schools/Towns represented include Canton, Milton, Walpole, Dedham, King Phillip, Norwood, and more.

Eight EMFC players participated for the 2010 team which brought home the Gold Medal after defeating the Metro team in penalties.  EMFC's Director of Coaching and Milton HS coach Mike Madden is back to guide the 2011 team.

The 2011 games run from Thursday, July 7th through Sunday, July 10th.  All games are held at Waltham High School.  Additional information on this year's competition is available online at:
